Expanding Claude availability and deployment choice on Google Cloud

Google Cloud announced the general availability of an Anthropic-managed deployment option for Claude models, giving customers a second way to run Claude alongside the existing Google-managed option. Both options offer day-zero access to the same models — Claude Fable 5.1, Sonnet 5.5, Haiku 5.5 and Opus 5.5 — at the same pricing and under the same Google Cloud billing, but differ in who acts as data processor: Anthropic under its Commercial Terms for the new option, or Google Cloud under existing customer agreements for the Google-managed option, which adds VPC Service Controls, Customer-Managed Encryption Keys and data residency in the U.S., EU and APAC. Anthropic-managed customers get immediate access to Claude Platform features such as Claude Managed Agents (beta), skills and code execution, while those features roll out later on the Google-managed infrastructure.

Anthropic operates the stack as the data processor on Google Cloud infrastructure under Anthropic’s terms of service, while organizations authenticate with Google Cloud IAM, maintain Cloud Audit Logging, and consolidate spend under their existing Google Cloud billing and eligible commitments.
