Bots on the Web are truly obnoxious and they've caused us many problems, cost us a lot of time, and left us having to keep beefy servers with 32 CPU cores. That was years before the price of hardware went through the roof. By moving to static pages we've largely solved the RAM and CPU hunger. That was before LLM bots went totally out of control. If you're pissed off by the LLM scammers hammering on your site (no benefit to you, it'll never be beneficial, and [googlebot too is an LLM bot now](/n/2026/06/08/GAFAM_Bots_Are_Not_Good_Bots.shtml)), then consider going static.
