The EU has put €10 billion ($11.5 billion) behind a project to create seven AI “gigafactories” in Europe, and it’s inviting private companies to bid for a chance to build them.
The European Commission said it expects another €20 billion in private investment across two lots, with the first covering AI hubs with at least as many advanced AI processors as the EU’s current most powerful site.
