# Equixly October 2026 product update: Smarter setup, clearer scans

##### Edoardo Zatti, Zoran Gorgiev

October’s release makes it easier to configure Equixly, keep track of testing activity, and manage day-to-day workflows as your environment grows.

Here’s what’s new:

- **Compliance:** Map findings against HIPAA, NIST SP 800-53, OWASP MCP Top 10, and the OWASP AI Testing Guide.
- **Navigation:** Move through the platform with a clearer, more contextual sidebar that adapts to where you are.
- **Scan tagging:** Add environment, version, branch, testing approach, or other context directly to individual runs.
- **Polaris:** Use Equixly’s AI assistant for configuration, onboarding, Custom Scripts, and HTTP Hooks.
- **Specification repair:** Automatically repair specifications that cannot be parsed during service creation or update.
- **Workflow improvements:** Import multiple services from Postman collections, archive Discovery targets in bulk, and return multiple credentials from a single Custom Script.

## Compliance: More frameworks

This month, Equixly adds four more frameworks and guides to its supported compliance coverage:

- **HIPAA** for healthcare environments
- **NIST SP 800-53** for security and privacy controls
- **OWASP MCP Top 10** for risks associated with Model Context Protocol implementations
- **OWASP AI Testing Guide** for testing AI-enabled systems

Together, these additions give organizations more ways to contextualize Equixly findings. Teams can assess results against the frameworks and guidance most relevant to their environment.

## Navigation: A more adaptive sidebar

This release reorganizes Equixly’s sidebar, grouping related functionality together. The Scans section now includes both Pentest and Discovery scans, which shortens the sidebar and makes the difference between the two scan types explicit.

The sidebar also adapts to where you are. When you open a detail page, such as a Project, it shows only the navigation relevant to that item instead of adding every related entry to the sidebar.

The result is a cleaner sidebar, less visual noise, and a clearer indication of where you are as you move through Equixly.

## Scan tagging: More context for every run

Scans can now carry their own free-form tags that let you attach context to a run, whether that’s the environment, application version, branch, testing approach, or anything else relevant. Tags appear directly in the scan list and support search and filtering. As a result, scans of the same service are easier to tell apart across different releases, environments, or testing configurations.

Tagging is particularly useful in CI/CD workflows, where you may test the same service repeatedly as builds and configurations change. With tags, the context of each test stays attached to the scan itself, so telling runs apart no longer relies on the service name alone.

## Polaris: Available to every customer

Polaris, Equixly’s AI assistant, is now available to every customer, and Equixly will keep expanding its capabilities over the coming months. Polaris supports configuration and onboarding and can help you write Custom Scripts for complex login flows and scripts for HTTP Hooks.

Polaris runs on a large language model that Equixly hosts and operates on its own infrastructure, with Zero Data Retention (ZDR). The information it processes is never shared with external AI providers and is not stored once your request is complete.

Polaris also powers another improvement in this release: automatic specification repair.

## Specification repair: Automatic recovery from parsing errors

OpenAPI, WSDL, and other service definitions do not always arrive ready to use. When Equixly cannot parse a specification during service creation or update, it creates or updates the service anyway. Polaris then tries to repair the specification in the background, so you can keep working instead of troubleshooting it manually.

A successful repair moves the service to Ready with the repaired definition. If the repair fails, Equixly marks the service as Error to show that manual intervention is required. Automatic repair simplifies a common setup step for services with malformed or incompatible specifications.

## Workflow improvements: Smoother day-to-day work

This release also includes three improvements that reduce manual setup and simplify everyday workflows.

### Postman import: Multi-service support comes to collections

Until now, importing a Postman collection created only one service. With this release, multi-service import extends to Postman collections, matching the workflow already available for HAR and Burp files. Equixly detects the services contained in a collection, so you can import all of them or only the ones you select. As a result, collections that contain requests for multiple services require less setup.

### Discovery: Bulk archive and unarchive

The bulk workspace management already available for Projects and scans now extends to Discovery targets. You can archive or unarchive multiple targets at once, and an Active / Archived view separates the targets you are working with from those you want to keep for later. Larger Discovery workspaces stay organized without deleting targets that are no longer part of your active work.

### Authentication: Multiple credentials from one Custom Script

Custom Scripts can now return multiple credential values from the same authentication flow. Equixly applies them natively during the scan, removing the need to handle extra values separately through HTTP Hooks. Authenticated testing becomes simpler for applications whose login flows depend on more than one credential.

## That’s the October 2026 product update

October’s release builds on a range of areas Equixly has been improving throughout the year. Four new compliance frameworks and guides expand the platform’s mappings, and the reorganized sidebar now adapts to where you are. Scan tagging brings environment, release, branch, and testing context directly to individual runs.

Polaris is now available to every customer and is already taking on a broader role in configuration through automatic specification repair. With multi-service Postman imports, bulk Discovery management, and native support for multiple credentials from Custom Scripts, a number of common workflows now take less manual work.

Smarter setup, clearer scans, and fewer steps between configuration and testing.

In short: smarter setup, clearer scans, and fewer steps between configuration and testing.
