Swedish investment firm EQT is acquiring Copia Power, an integrated energy and data center developer, from Carlyle in a deal valued at approximately $2.6 billion. Copia operates 2.6 GW of generation and storage and is developing 9+ GW of grid-connected data centers. The transaction, expected to close by year-end 2026, delivers Carlyle more than a fivefold return on its original investment.
