Epic Games dismisses Apple's simplified EU App Store fees as 'junk'

Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney dismissed Apple's revised EU App Store fee structure as 'junk', criticizing the new 0.50 euro Core Technology Fee for apps distributed outside the App Store. Apple's changes, announced in response to the Digital Markets Act, also include a 10% commission for App Store sales and a 3% payment processing fee, but Sweeney argues the fees still disadvantage developers and fail to comply with the regulation.
