# Elon Musk Rebrands SpaceXAI After Donald Trump’s Superintelligence Push; The New Name Is…

Within days of the [Super Intelligence](https://in.mashable.com/se/?q=superintelligence) mandate by Donald Trump, world’s richest billionaire Elon Musk has rebranded his company. In a tweet on X/Twitter, he declared

No more AI. SI. It’s better

When a user replied in the post asking, “Any possibility of renaming to SpaceXSI??," his answer was affirmative. The SpaceX boss wrote on October 4, 2026.

Yes, we will make that change.

The rename follows President Donald Trump's executive order, "*Inaugurating the Era of Super Intelligence,*" signed on September 29. The diktat directs federal agencies to use "Super Intelligence" instead of [AI](https://in.mashable.com/se/?q=ai+&model=article) in official documents and communications. Musk had already started using the term himself.

## Musk’s History With The Word Super Intelligence

A user, meanwhile, quoted Musk, stating how the Tesla chief has been using the term "SI" since at least 2014 onwards. In the said tweet, Musk stated the following:

Hope we're not just the biological boot loader for digital superintelligence. Unfortunately, that is increasingly probable

In a fresh tweet he remarked

Propagating super intelligence to the stars is a great success condition for a biological bootloader

Earlier he also endorsed and contributed to Nick Bostrom's 2014 book "Superintelligence: Paths, Dangers, Strategies," where he remarked that uncontrollable [superintelligence could be more dangerous than nuclear weapons](https://in.mashable.com/tech/64870/elon-musk-warns-that-ai-is-more-dangerous-than-nuclear-bombs-the-internet-asks-why-keep-creating-the).

## Official Renaming When? Third Name In Eight Months!

Presently none of the handles, including SpaceXAI, have changed AI to SI. Musk himself has not given any timeline of rebranding.

SpaceX acquired its own entity, xAI, on February 2 in a deal that valued the combined company at $1.25 trillion. In May, Musk said xAI would be dissolved as a separate company, and on July 6, the division took the SpaceXAI name with a new logo. SpaceXSI would be its third name since February, meaning SpaceXAI would last under three months.

Will SpaceXSI be an unofficial name until board approval? We don't know.
