SAN FRANCISCO – Risk-management firm IN2 will have access to Eartheye Space multi-sensor satellite tasking and analytics through a memorandum of understanding signed Aug. 19.

IN2 will include Eartheye satellite data in the daily briefings and consulting projects its research staffs prepare for government, defense and enterprise clients around the world.

“Combining Eartheye’s sensing capability with our analytical experience in hard-to-reach environments moves clients past static data to a real decision advantage,” IN2 Managing Director Paul Tilley said in a statement. “Whether a government is planning sustainable infrastructure or a relief agency is responding to a disaster, the test of this partnership is the same, decisions that hold up on the ground.”

Eartheye Space, based in Singapore and Sydney, offers customers on-demand access to more than 30 commercial sensors on partner satellites. Automated AI analytics derive information from optical, radar, hyperspectral, thermal, maritime automated identification system, weather and greenhouse gas instruments.

Eartheye Space was established “to make space-derived data and insights accessible and scalable,” CEO and founder Shankar Sivaprakasam told SpaceNews. Working together, IN2 and Eartheye are turning “geospatial data into clear decisions for people tackling complex problems.”

Initially, the IN2 and Eartheye Space partnership will focus on infrastructure, disaster response and environmental monitoring.

The companies will track construction progress and model environmental and community impacts. For floods, wildfires and other crises, Eartheye AI-generated maps will be combined with IN2’s local expertise to give relief agencies quick damage assessments and help direct resources. The companies also will monitor remote areas for illegal deforestation and unregulated mining, track agricultural health and verify land-use commitments.

IN2, headquartered in London and Dubai, has offices in the Middle East, Africa, India and Europe.

The partnership will begin with joint technical demonstrations for commercial partners and civil government agencies.
