Dumb or brilliant? Catches agents that edit tests to pass Open-source tool dotpals launched version 0.9.0, adding a verification layer that watches coding agents such as Claude Code and Codex, reads test output directly, and sends Claude back to fix failing tests before it can finish, commit or push. The tool, installed via `npx dotpals@latest setup` on Windows, macOS or Linux, also catches tests that only pass because an assertion was removed, a skip was added or an expectation was changed, and exposes an MCP interface so any agent can call `check_my_work`, `ready_to_merge` and `today` for evidence rather than the agent's word. dotpals is free, open source and runs entirely on the user's computer. See what your coding agent actually did. A small floating pal that watches Claude Code, Codex or any agent and checks its work: which files changed, which commands ran, and whether the tests really passed, read from their output, not the agent's word. When Claude breaks the tests, dotpals sends it back to fix them. And any AI tool can ask dotpals what really happened. npx dotpals@latest setup
