While it’s been reported that Apple is debating whether or not the camera in its upcoming glasses product should allow users to shoot photos and videos, DuckDuckGo is going one step further … The privacy-first search engine company is selling a pair of sunglasses called DuckDuckGo Paso Robles with the strapline “Normal F***ing Sunglasses.”

No camera, no microphone, no AI, no battery, no electronics of any kind. Just a beautifully crafted pair of matte black sunglasses with a glossy DuckDuckGo logo, designed to block the sun and never send data to the cloud.
The company cites product benefits as infinite battery life, zero notifications guaranteed, and a “seamless offline mode.”
While the company is obviously using satire to make a privacy point, the glasses really do exist and you can buy them. It’s a clever piece of PR.
