Doja Cat has offered a timely “fuck AI” in light of several purported leaks making the rounds on social media.
In an X post shared Tuesday (June 23), the Vie artist, who’s set to return to the road here in the States in October, told fans “all of those songs that are leaking” are the work of AI, not her.
“All of those songs that are leaking that they’re saying are mine are AI,” she said. “None of it is me.”
When a presumed fan pushed back by theorizing that Doja was “lying,” she turned the argument around, like so:
“I’m not. Why are you lying to yourself?”
Later, the Grammy winner, whose social media presence is frequently a source of quick-hit news articles like the one you’re reading now due to a seemingly limitless ability to dole out headlines-ready commentary, reshared a post from a fan who highlighted the volume of the purported leaks as a sign of their illegitimacy.
“Really disappointed in everyone thinking that’s me,” Doja added in a follow-up post. “Fuck AI for real.”
The North American leg of Doja’s Tour Ma Vie World Tour kicks off at the top of October at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena. The Vie-supporting run continues from there with stops in Chicago, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Denver, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, and elsewhere through the end of the month. November brings additional stops for fans in Miami and Atlanta, among other cities, before a tour-wrapping show at Madison Square Garden in New York brings the run to a close in December.
