Consider Claude Corp Anthropic launched Claude Corps, a $150 million jobs program paying fellows $85,000 to help nonprofits use AI, and offered free premium Claude access to teachers, raising questions about U.S. AI companies' responsibility to invest in America. All the talk about establishing an American AI Sovereign Wealth Fund has raised important questions about the responsibilities of U.S. AI companies — and Big Tech Companies — in giving back to Americans instead of single-mindedly trying to make profits, such as through surveillance capitalism. I think they should do the same for legal aid lawyers, but that’s a topic for another day. Anthropic also has a program called “ Claude Corps https://www.anthropic.com/claude-corps ,” a jobs program that pays fellows $85,000 to go help non-profit organization with the use of AI.
