Modder danielblnc on GitHub continues to pump out updates for [DLSS-NR on AMD](https://github.com/danielblnc/DLSS-NR-on-AMD/), a tool that allows Radeon RX 9000 and RX 7000 GPU owners to enable [DLSS 5 Neural Rendering](https://www.pcguide.com/news/dlss-5-release-date-everything-you-need-to-know/) in any DirectX 12 game with FSR support. We [first saw the mod](https://www.pcguide.com/news/modder-gets-dlss-5-running-on-amds-flagship-rx-9070-xt-says-its-playable-at-30-fps-in-cyberpunk-2077/) surface in early September, boasting 30 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077, and there have been a ton of updates since its initial release.

The mod is now freely available in Alpha 0.4.3, something danielblnc calls “The 75 FPS update” after hitting the performance milestone in Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p in ‘9070 XT Fast mode’ – the past few days have seen back-to-back updates with significant performance improvements. Versions 0.3.3 and 0.4.0 offered big 23% and 42% upgrades, respectively.

## DLSS NR on AMD gets “The 75 FPS update”

The latest Alpha 0.4.3 update details a 20% performance improvement over the previous 0.4.2 version in Reference quality mode, and 18% in Fast mode. Reference quality renders with Nvidia’s official settings/calculations (there’s no strength slider in [DLSS 5’s official implementation for NBA 2K27](https://www.pcguide.com/news/dlss-5-is-officially-being-released-this-week-starting-with-nba-2k27-days-after-a-leaked-build-surfaced-online/)), while Fast mode is less intensive. danielblnc introduced ‘Fast’ mode in Alpha version 0.4.2, allowing users to use “cheaper arithmetic where the difference is barely visible”. It’s now the default setting for RX 9000 series GPUs, while RX 7000 cards remain limited to the Reference quality mode.

In a similar fashion, there’s [AMD NR](https://github.com/3zwr1/AMD-NR---OptiScaler), built into the popular OptiScaler mod to provide Neural Rendering alongside other features such as frame generation and Ray Regeneration.
