Five years ago, Paul Bettany’s Vision both fully died and flew off to an unknown future at the end of WandaVision. Now, here’s VisionQuest, coming to D23 to show us what awaits the white android now that he’s

on his own. With memories of his former life now restored, Vision’s struggling to care about them on an emotional level like he should. What he can do, while living on his own, is hallucinate and simulate human personifications of AI characters from the MCU’s past like E.D.I.T.H. (Emily Hampshire), F.R.I.D.A.Y. (Orla Brady), and even his “father,” Ultron (James Spader). The other personas in his head are none too happy that Ultron’s hanging around and probing Vision’s head, particularly when a young man (Ruaridh Mollica) in the real world’s claiming to be his son.

If that weren’t enough, Vision’s threats are also external: he’s being pursued by a bounty hunter named Paladin (Todd Stashwick) and has to face Jocasta (T’Nia Miller), a robot looking to kill him and destroy the planet. He’s got quite a lot to deal with both in and out of his head, and as the final installment in this “Wanda+Vision” trilogy, he’s going to have to come to terms with himself whether he wants to or not. Also starring James D’Arcy and Faran Tahir, *VisionQuest *premieres October 14 on Disney+.
