DigGitHub – add "dig" to any GitHub URL to see if the project is alive

DigGitHub launched a service that lets users type "dig" in front of any GitHub URL (github.com/owner/repo becomes dig github.com/owner/repo) to check whether an open-source project is still actively maintained. The site organizes projects by purpose, audience and deployment environment, and its "Rising this quarter" list ranks repositories by 90-day star growth, led by affaan-m/ECC at 292k stars (+68k/90d), deepseek-ai/deepseek-harness at 265k stars (+78k/90d) and DietrichGebert/ponytail at 179k stars (+95k/90d). The catalog also includes collections such as "MCP servers to start with" and "Private ChatGPT alternatives you can self-host.
