Amazon has made Alexa+ free on Fire TV for all US users, expanding the audience for Alexa+ developers and making content discovery easier for Fire TV developers. Alexa+ add-ons can now process payments and complete checkout within conversations, with the developer's backend remaining the merchant of record. Additionally, OpenIAP now supports Fire OS and Vega OS, enabling a unified API for app payments across Google Play, Apple, and the Amazon Appstore.
