As the open-weight champion transitions from a research disrupter into a high-volume platform, it is boosting the underlying engine required to deliver reliable, enterprise-grade commercial services. The expansion comes as the company continues to scale aggressively. In June, DeepSeek announced plans to “at least double the size of every department”, opening 33 distinct roles across research, engineering and product management.
