Debian has published the official results for the 2026 GR on LLM usage

Debian's 2026 General Resolution on LLM usage concluded with Option 5 "Responsible Use of Generative AI" winning, as announced on August 29, 2026. The option received 281 votes in the final tally and defeated all other options, including "Allow AI-Assisted Contributions with conditions" by 55 votes and "A cautious approach to generative AI" by 80 votes.
