The annotated die shot reveals that the Exynos 2700 has a deca-core CPU featuring unannounced Arm CPU cores. Expect one C2 Ultra core clocked at 4.24GHz, one C2 Ultra clocked at 3.36GHz, four C2 Pro cores running at 3.74GHz, and four C2 Pro cores at 2.88GHz. We’ve also got a substantial 24MB of system-level cache and what looks like 16MB of L3 cache. Either way, this 4.24GHz clock speed falls short of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, let alone its successor’s 5GHz peak speeds. By contrast, the Exynos 2600 had a deca-core CPU featuring just one C1 Ultra core clocked at 3.8GHz, three C1 Pro cores at 3.25GHz, and six C1 Pro cores running at 2.75GHz. It’s particularly interesting to see two big cores with different peak clock speeds on the new chip. In fact, the second big core has a lower clock speed than one of the C2 Pro clusters. For what it’s worth, Qualcomm generally uses two big CPU cores with identical clock speeds in its flagship processors. Otherwise, the Exynos 2700 will apparently ship with an Xclipse 970 GPU featuring what appears to be eight workgroup processors WGP . This would line up with the Exynos 2600 GPU, according to previous reports. We also see a large NPU here, hinting at a major boost for AI workloads.
