As generative AI tools become increasingly common in academic and professional settings, understanding how to use them responsibly is becoming an essential skill for everyone.\n\nAs part of our goal to become an AI-infused university, the University of Georgia has launched “AI Literacy for All” offered by the Digital Education Council, a new online training course in partnership with Enterprise Information Technology Services and the Office of the Vice President for Instruction.\n\nThe course is designed to provide UGA students, faculty and staff with a foundational understanding of artificial intelligence, with a particular focus on the responsible use and implications of generative AI.\n\nThe training serves as a shared baseline resource, helping establish a consistent and informed understanding of AI across the university community.\n\n### Learning the fundamentals of AI\n\nThe AI Literacy for All course introduces participants to key concepts and considerations surrounding artificial intelligence. Through interactive learning activities, learners will explore how generative AI can be used across industries and education while gaining insight into responsible and ethical practices.\n\nThe training is delivered through the Digital Education Council’s online learning platform.
