In addition to the six lewd act counts, the suspect, Quaylin Wesley, of Vallejo, was also charged with two counts of first degree residential burglary, as the alleged crimes happened at two different times in the girl’s room at a university dormitory, the records say.

Wesley is in custody at Santa Rita Jail but no bail amount is listed in online records. He is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday.

According to court records, Wesley was an overnight counselor at the camp. The name of the camp has not been released and UC Berkeley officials have said it was not affiliated with the university.

The victim provided details of her ordeal to police at a hospital, where she was taken to obtain a sexual assault exam, the records say.

According to the records, Wesley allegedly entered the girl’s dormitory room on two occasions between 1 and 2 a.m. Saturday and molested the victim with his hands, mouth and penis. Another girl was in the room but was not harmed, the records say.

In the first incident, the victim pretended to sleep during the attack. Wesley left the room after a few minutes when he thought the roommate might wake up, the records say.

But he returned a few minutes later to the room and allegedly molested the 11-year-old some more after pulling her pants down, the records say. He fled the room when the sleeping roommate moved again, the records say.

The victim tried to awaken her roommate before fleeing to a bathroom, where she told another camp attendee what had happened. She eventually alerted a camp counselor. Other camp counselors were told and one of them called UC police.

The victim and her roommate were taken to another room which counselors secured, so that Wesley could not enter, the records say. He was later located and taken to UC police headquarters where he was placed under arrest.
