Colloq – A collaborative Python classroom you can self-host Colloq, an open-source self-hosted classroom tool from the colloq-edu project, lets a teacher share one link so students join a single live Python notebook from a browser with only a name, with no accounts or installs. The tool installs via `pip install colloq` and requires Python 3.9 or newer plus Docker, with Node.js 22 or newer needed outside macOS 14+ and Linux x64/arm64, and it ships under the MIT license at a pre-1.0 status. Each notebook runs its own Python kernel with a visible run queue and shared outputs, and a council mode lets students submit private answers that the teacher reviews and can show to the class with or without names. One link. One live notebook. The whole room. A self-hosted classroom for teaching Python, data science and ML together. Students join from a browser with just a name.
