Claude Sonnet 5.5 now available on AI Gateway

Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 5.5 is now available on Vercel's AI Gateway under the identifier anthropic/claude-sonnet-5.5, the gateway announced. Sonnet 5.5 improves on Claude Sonnet 5 for well-scoped everyday work, carrying coding changes through multiple steps and checking its work before reporting completion, and it supports Zero Data Retention on AI Gateway. Developers can call the model through the AI SDK, OpenAI-compatible Chat Completions API, Responses API, or Anthropic Messages API, or select it in a coding agent after running npx vercel ai-gateway setup.
