Claude Opus 5.5 is now available in GitHub Copilot

Anthropic's Claude Opus 5.5 is now available in GitHub Copilot for Copilot Pro+, Max, Business, and Enterprise users, GitHub announced. In early testing, Opus 5.5 resolved tasks comparably to Claude Opus 5 while using significantly fewer steps and tokens, and it quickly recovered from errors in multistep tasks. The model watermarks its text outputs without changing output meaning, quality, or readability, and adds no tokens or cost; it is billed at provider list pricing under usage-based billing.
