Anthropic has rolled out Indian rupee-denominated pricing for its Claude subscription plans, making it easier for customers in India to understand exactly how much they will pay without converting prices from foreign currencies.
The updated pricing is now visible across individual and enterprise offerings on the company's onboarding page. Most plans include GST, giving users greater pricing transparency.
The move is expected to make Claude more accessible to individual professionals, startups and businesses evaluating artificial intelligence tools for everyday work.
How much does Claude Pro cost in India?
For individual users, the Claude Pro plan is priced at Rs 2,033.05 per month, billed monthly plus GST. Users can also opt for an annual subscription, which Anthropic says offers 17 per cent savings compared with monthly billing.
The Pro subscription includes all free-tier features along with higher usage limits, Claude Code, Cowork, Claude Design, unlimited projects, access to Research, memory across conversations, access to additional Claude models, Claude in Excel and Claude in Chrome.
What does the Claude Max plan offer?
Anthropic has also introduced the Claude Max plan in India, starting at Rs 11,999 per month, billed monthly and inclusive of GST.
The Max tier includes everything available in the Pro plan while significantly increasing usage limits.

Claude Team pricing for businesses
Anthropic has also localised pricing for businesses through its Claude Team plan, designed for organisations with 2 to 150 users.
The Standard seat costs Rs 2,399 per user per month, including GST, while the monthly billing option is priced at Rs 2,999 per user.
The Premium seat is priced at Rs 11,999 per user per month, including GST, or Rs 14,999 under monthly billing. According to Anthropic, the Premium plan offers five times more usage than the Standard seat.
What features do Team subscribers get?
The Claude Team plan includes a 200,000-token context window, API-rate usage credits, Claude Code, Cowork, centralised billing and administration, single sign-on (SSO), domain capture, administrative controls for remote and local connectors, enterprise deployment for the Claude desktop application, organisation-wide enterprise search, Microsoft 365 and Slack integrations.
Anthropic also says customer content under the Team plan is not used for model training.
Why does local pricing matter?
By introducing rupee-denominated subscriptions, Anthropic has removed the need for Indian users to calculate exchange rates while comparing AI subscription costs.
