Cisco Talos Finds Windows Infostealer Configured to Use Claude for Victim Triage Cisco Talos reported that a Windows infostealer it calls VOLTA-AUTODOXER is configured to send a locally assembled Identity_Report.txt dossier through the OpenRouter API to Anthropic's Claude Opus 4.6 by default, falling back to Moonshot AI's Kimi K2 and Google's Gemini 2.5 Flash when refusal phrases are detected, to rank stolen victim data by value. Talos said the malware collects browser passwords, cookies and payment cards, cryptocurrency wallet data, Discord, Telegram, Steam and Roblox sessions, Microsoft OAuth tokens, SSH and cloud-provider configuration files, Wi-Fi passwords and screenshots, and can use stolen Gmail and delivery-app sessions to enrich the profile. Talos published one SHA-256 hash, two observed filenames and archive names including volta_dox.zip, volta_log.zip and volta_doxnet.zip, and recommended restricting unauthorized Chrome launches with the --headless option, while noting the evidence shows a capability in one analyzed sample with no confirmed victim total, delivery method, affected geography or completed AI-generated dossier.
