# Chinese Robot Maker DexForce Is Said to Consider Hong Kong IPO

(Bloomberg) -- DexForce Technology Co. is considering an initial public offering in Hong Kong, people familiar with the matter said, as the Chinese robot maker seeks to tap into investor enthusiasm for the sector.

The Shenzhen-based company has held early talks with prospective advisers about the IPO, the people said, asking not to be identified because the information is private. An offering could raise a few hundred million dollars, the people said.

Deliberations are ongoing and details such as the size of the offering may change, the people said.

A representative for DexForce didn't respond to a request seeking comment.

Robotics companies in China are rushing to go public and raise funds for developing technology that can be deployed at scale in factories and other workplaces. Meanwhile, investors from venture capital to carmakers and state-backed funds are pouring money into developing artificial intelligence for use by humanoid robots.

Founded in 2021, DexForce makes humanoid robots and embodied AI technology that can be used in the automotive sector, home appliances, logistics and warehousing. It recently raised 1 billion yuan ($148 million) in a series B funding round that valued it at more than 10 billion yuan. Its backers include Shenzhen Capital Group and ICBC Capital.
