We hope that by investigating the current paradigm of interfaces, we will be inspired to notice all the ways in which our attention is being trained and frames chosen for us.
We already see how perceived user identity, prior turns, how a question is framed, and other interface design choices (variable reward schedules, anthropomorphization, engagement optimization) are all affecting the experience of using AI so then the "values" question seems less localized in model weights and more co created at the moment of interaction
