- You’ll be able to book a table or join a waitlist without having to leave your conversation.
- OpenAI has also partnered with Resy and OpenTable.
ChatGPT can be used for a variety of purposes, from answering questions to helping you vibe code. Recently, OpenAI and Yelp entered into a partnership that allows the chatbot to surface reviews, photos, ratings, and other business details to help you discover local recommendations. Now the two are deepening their partnership to bring a new capability to the chatbot.
Yelp has announced a new integration with ChatGPT. This integration will bring Yelp Reservations and Waitlist directly to the AI. That means you’ll now be able to book a table or join a waitlist through Yelp without having to leave your conversation.
If you decide to book this way, you’ll still be able to make adjustments to your reservation. However, you’ll need to make your modifications directly on Yelp. “By bringing Yelp’s trusted booking capabilities directly into the ChatGPT experience, we’re helping people go from finding the right restaurant to easily securing their spot,” said the company. But it’s not just Yelp that will be lending its booking and waitlist services to ChatGPT. OpenAI has revealed that it has also partnered with Resy and OpenTable for the same purpose.
The new integration should make reservations more convenient for ChatGPT users. Yelp says that the integration works with restaurants both in the US and Canada.
