Perplexity subscribers who work in design can now add a Canva connector to the Computer platform, allowing Perplexity’s desktop agent to autonomously turn data and prompts into editable Canva assets. Here are the details.
Canva connector now available on Perplexity Computer #
If you’re not familiar with Perplexity Computer, it is a Mac-native platform that serves as the user’s personal agentic assistant and performs tasks across local and cloud environments. In practice, users can connect Perplexity Computer to hundreds of platforms they already use, such as Notion, Google Drive, GitHub, SharePoint, and beyond, and then have Perplexity’s agents perform tasks on their behalf.
This week, Canva launched a Perplexity Computer connector, which means the platform’s agents can now work directly inside Canva to create assets based on the user’s requests and needs.
Here’s one example, from Canva’s announcement:
When Perplexity surfaces a strategy, a competitive analysis, or a brief, Canva is right there to turn it into a polished, on-brand, editable asset that’s ready to take into Canva, refine and publish across platforms.
And
Connect Canva through the Connectors page, describe what you need, and Perplexity Computer draws from your meeting notes, performance data, and live web context to build a structured brief. From there, Canva transforms it into a presentation, a social campaign, an infographic, or a brand kit – all editable, on-brand, and ready to publish anywhere.
Commenting on the launch, Canva’s Head of Ecosystem said that this partnership will allow small and growing business to shorten the gap “between a smart insight and something you can actually use.” Emily Jorgens, Head of Business Development and Partnerships at Perplexity, echoed that sentiment:
