Call for Tenders: European Data Market Study 2027–2028

The European Commission has issued a call for tenders for a study on the European data market covering 2027–2028. The study will monitor data and AI trends to support EU digital policy, including the Digital Decade and Data Union strategies. Proposals are due by 12 August 2026.

The study will build on data collected since 2014 and support evidence-based policymaking by monitoring key trends, measuring progress towards EU digital policy objectives, and analysing how data and AI contribute to innovation, competitiveness and Europe's strategic autonomy. This is an opportunity for organisations with expertise in the socio-economic analysis of data markets and their trends, EU data policies and communities, as well as the legal, economic and technical aspects of digital economy services and products, especially in the EU data market and data economy.
