Administrators select Fireworks in Airlock settings, choose a supported model and supply an API key; the selection applies only to governing action reviews, while policy translation, initial intent review and approval summaries keep their existing models. If a required Fireworks review fails, Airlock denies the action rather than silently switching to another provider.", "body_md": "# Bring your own Fireworks AI key to Airlock\n\nUse your Fireworks AI key for Airlock's governing action reviews, with policies, fixed rules, and human approvals still managed in Airlock. Early access.\n\nWorkOS Airlock has added support for Fireworks AI as an inference provider for its governing agent. With bring your own key (BYOK), you can use your Fireworks account for the model reviews that check proposed agent actions against your team's policies.\n\n*Airlock applies your policies to governed agent actions.*\n\n## How Airlock evaluates actions\n\nAirlock combines fixed rules with model-based review of the task and its context. The governing agent reviews actions that need that additional judgment. It can preserve an allowed action, deny it, or require human approval; it cannot override a denial from the fixed rules.\n\nFor example, a team could allow an agent to search for duplicate charges while requiring a person to approve refunds. Your team defines which actions are permitted and which require approval.\n\nAirlock records governed requests and decisions so the team can review what happened.\n\n## Configure Fireworks for action reviews\n\nIn Airlock settings, an administrator selects Fireworks as the inference provider, chooses a supported model, and supplies the API key. Nothing changes until that selection is made: a saved key on its own activates nothing. The selection applies to governing action reviews. Policy translation, initial intent review, and approval summaries keep their existing models.\n\nGoverning policies, request context, and relevant lookup results are sent to Fireworks for these reviews. The Fireworks key authenticates inference requests; credentials for the tools your agents use are managed separately.\n\nIf a required Fireworks review fails, Airlock denies the action rather than silently switching to another provider.\n\n## Get access\n\nAirlock is in early access.
