Brandon Aiyuk releases cryptic Instagram Story statement against NFLPA

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk released a cryptic Instagram Story accusing the NFLPA of lying and withholding information from players on behalf of teams and agents. The statement follows a YouTube video in which Aiyuk criticized his former agent, Ryan Williams, general manager John Lynch, and head coach Kyle Shanahan, claiming his relationship with the team is irreparable amid an ongoing contract dispute and an active arrest warrant.

49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk is calling out the National Football League Players Association.

Aiyuk’s statement against the NFLPA came on his Instagram story as he is calling for them to stop “lying/withholding information from a player on behalf of the team alongside a certified agent.”

Aiyuk is likely referring to his current team, the 49ers, and his former agent, Ryan Williams, a day after he released a YouTube video, calling out Williams, San Francisco general manager John Lynch, and head coach Kyle Shanahan.

In his Instagram Story post, Aiyuk said, “Some players have no other place to go for information or help, and are relying on the union to help them continue advancing in their careers and lives!” Aiyuk wrote. “I’m sure there are great members of the union, so this message does not pertain to them, but about the ones in my specific case.”

During his 3 ½-minute video, he released on his YouTube channel, Aiyuk was calling out Williams and Lynch, who is represented by Williams. Aiyuk went on to call both of them “weird” and “predators” after Aiyuk said Lynch showed up to his home unannounced earlier this week.

He then went on to call out Shanhan and said he has the “temperament of a f—– toddler.”

Aiyuk said that his relationship with the team will never be repaired and has no plans on returning back to the team facility anytime soon.

It’s been a long and exhausting offseason between Aiyuk and the 49ers, as he’s consistently been active on social media, voicing his frustrations with the 49ers and has been requesting a trade, even though he has not been at the team’s facility since last year.

On June 3, a warrant was issued for Aiyuk’s arrest. On Friday, The Post reported that Aiyuk has been avoiding returning to California due to his arrest warrant.

The Post reached out to Williams for a statement but has not heard back.
