We all know that 2026 has been a nightmare for memory chips, and that’s impacted all kinds of products, not least SSDs. Yet, after months of prices ratcheting up, Amazon’s Prime Day has dropped the cost of the Samsung T9 Portable SSD 1TB.

What to consider before you buy
The price of the Samsung T9 Portable SSD 1TB hasn’t quite reset to 2025 levels. However, Prime Day has offered some welcome relief for a hugely popular drive that has over 2,800 Amazon reviews and a 4.7-star rating. The drive also comes in 2TB and 4TB models, should you want more storage. However, they cost twice and four times as much, respectively.
