Managing invoices manually can be time-consuming for freelancers and small businesses. I built **BillBuddy AI**, a local-first invoice assistant that helps extract invoice details and manage records in one place.

BillBuddy AI is a prototype application designed to simplify invoice management while keeping document

Users can upload an invoice, review AI-extracted details, and manage payment records through a simple interface.

BillBuddy AI is designed to process documents using a locally running language model and store records in a local SQLite database. This reduces the need to send invoice documents to an external AI service.

AI-extracted information can be inaccurate, so users should verify all fields before saving or relying on them.

Building BillBuddy AI helped me explore local LLM integration, document processing, structured data extraction, database operations, and building interactive applications with Streamlit.

This is a prototype, and I plan to improve its extraction accuracy, validation, and invoice management workflow further.
