Be honest: When was the last time you cleaned up obsolete code from your repos?

The use case is there, Github and other repos contain 10+% of obsolete code which no one ever deletes and it costs a bunch per year for just having it there. What if you could just licence the code to Anthropic, OpenAI or any other AI lab and make passive income every time its sold. Does that as a use case make sense for you?
