Baidu to power AI search for Apple’s Apple Intelligence in China

According to sources, Apple and Baidu are partnering to bring AI features to iPhone users in China. Baidu is developing an AI-powered search experience as part of the Apple Intelligence suite, enabling image and text understanding while also enhancing Siri with capabilities tailored for the Chinese market. Combined with Alibaba’s Qwen large language model, which will provide the underlying AI capabilities, Apple devices sold in China are expected to deliver a more localized, system-level Apple Intelligence experience optimized for Chinese users.
