The weekly quota will now be available to ChatGPT Plus users in five-hour usage windows, after which they will have to wait for their limit to reset before using the rest of their allowance.\n\nSottiaux also added that those on the “Plus” plan are relatively casual users and new users who often accidentally exceed their weekly limit and are then confused. Apparently, OpenAI thinks five-hour limits will help these “casual” and “new” users better manage their weekly usage.\n\nThe reinstated five-hour limits are currently only applicable to users with a ChatGPT Plus subscription.
