# AWS just had its best quarter in five years > Source: > Published: 2026-07-30 22:17:52+00:00 [AWS](/tag/aws/) After three years of questions about whether or not enterprises were ready to embrace AI, AWS echoed its hyperscaler competitors Thursday with earnings results that show a dramatic acceleration in demand for its cloud services thanks largely in part to the arrival of AI agents. AWS revenue grew 37% during the second quarter to $42.2 billion, the fastest that the leading cloud infrastructure provider has grown in 18 quarters.
