Auto-review mode is now available in Cursor

Cursor has released a new auto-review run mode that allows its AI agent to operate with fewer approval prompts and safer execution. The feature applies to Shell, MCP, and Fetch tool calls, with allowlisted calls running immediately and sandboxable calls running in the sandbox, while other actions are evaluated by a classifier subagent. Users can configure the run mode and provide custom instructions for the classifier agent in Cursor Settings.

All other agent actions go to a classifier subagent that decides whether to allow the call, try a different approach, or ask for your approval.
