# ASX Quarterly Technology Wrap: Tech rebounds as small caps expand markets

**ASX tech beat every sector in the June quarter with a 17% gain**

**Four small caps advanced funding, certification and commercial deals**

**Improving sentiment helped reopen growth opportunities across global markets**

The Australian technology sector has had a difficult year, hit hard by inflationary fears as geopolitical chaos around the Strait of Hormuz drives volatility in oil and gas prices.

Suspicion surrounding a potential AI “debt bubble” didn’t help matters but the June quarter saw a reversal of fortunes for ASX info tech stocks.

The info tech sector handily outperformed the greater market and each of the other sectors, rising 17% against the ASX200’s 4% lift.

The only other sectors to make solid progress over the quarter were Real Estate (+11.6%) and Industrials (+7.5%).

A strong performance by Wall Street’s Nasdaq (+21.4%) provided plenty of positive sentiment, with the heavily tech-exposed South Korean KOSPI Index (+67.8%) making even greater progress.

Aussie tech stocks were still down about 16% for the YTD at the end of June, but the index has recovered more than 18% from its March 30 low.

Here’s four small caps capitalising on that improving tech sentiment with aggressive commercialisation strategies.

**ClearVue Technologies (ASX:CPV)**

**ClearVue Technologies (ASX:CPV)**

**Selected for Canva’s new headquarters in Sydney and secured its first European project in Cyprus**

**Achieved three major safety and durability certifications for solar double-glass range and proprietary junction box**

**Raised $4.8 million in placement with post-quarter-end SPP closing oversubscribed, raising $1.291m**

ClearVue’s smart building technology integrates solar cells directly into architectural glass surfaces, turning building envelopes into clean energy generators.

The June quarter brought high-profile commercial momentum for the company, as it was selected to supply its solar glass for the new Sydney headquarters of global technology leader Canva.

The binding subcontract will be worth about $600,000 post-quarter. ClearVue also clinched its first European project via a $305,000 contract in Cyprus.

CPV’s product validation efforts also passed key milestones, with the double-glazed range securing Grade A safety standard classification (AS/NZS 2208).

ClearVue’s Gen 3 Solar Vision Glass also passed EN 1279-5 sealing tests and its proprietary junction box achieved IEC 62790 certification.

These certifications are key requirements for many building contractors, providing opportunities to engage with international markets.

Financially, ClearVue raised $4.8m in a placement with a post-quarter share purchase plan, which was oversubscribed, raising another $1.29m.

Net operating cash outflow was $2.141m, which included a non-recurring $300,000 legacy expense.

**AnteoTech (ASX:ADO)**

**AnteoTech (ASX:ADO)**

**Independent testing of Ultranode 95 battery anode exceeded military drone performance standards**

**Launched Anteo C, a PFAS-free current collector primer additive, and shipped scale samples to South Korea**

**Customer receipts were $17,000, operating cash outflow was $1.585m and quarter-end cash reached $11.2m after a major option exercise**

AnteoTech leverages its chemical binding platform to supply high-performance solutions to the lithium-ion battery and life sciences diagnostic markets.

The company reached a major technical milestone with the Battery Innovation Centre in the US completing validation of Ultranode 95 in a commercial 5 Ah pouch cell format.

The silicon anode achieved more than 390 Wh/kg – about 40% higher energy density than conventional graphite cells – and completed over 300 cycles, comfortably beating the defence drone standard.

ADO’s battery portfolio expanded with the launch of Anteo C, a water-based, PFAS-free cross-linker additive.

Following successful trials, the company shipped a 20L manufacturing-scale sample to a South Korean customer.

In Diagnostics, AnteoTech appointed Cosmo Bio as a distributor in Japan and completed the initial stage of a collaborative CLIA program, further validating AnteoBind NXT.

The company’s underwritten option exercise raised $10m before costs, lifting cash to $11.2m against a net operating outflow of $1.585m.

**Registered as a supplier on DigiKey, expanded its catalogue to 44 products and recorded its first revenue**

**Launched design program for compact gaming rigs using Mini-ITX format**

GCM’s VHD technology provides advanced thermal management and high-heat dissipation for applications in computing, electric vehicles and telecoms.

GCM Corp accelerated its commercialisation efforts during the quarter with a binding 24-month Joint Development Agreement with Shenzhen Wanwei (ALVC).

The partnership combines ALVC’s vapour chambers with GCM’s VHD heat sinks. ALVC will lead global sales and purchase all VHD components exclusively from GCM.

To target AI server cooling, GCM engaged with a global liquid cooling OEM on prototype design.

The company also launched a design program for space-constrained gaming rigs using the compact Mini-ITX format.

In parallel, metallurgical testing continued at the McIntosh graphite project, with mineral exploration spending of $123,756.

GCM holds $6.71m in cash. Its net operating cash outflow of $86,000 was supported by a $355,000 government grant.
