Arctic Wolf launches Aurora MDR Connect, a new MDR variant specifically for managed service providers. The solution combines rapid implementation with the AI-driven detection and response capabilities of the Aurora Superintelligence Platform, enabling MSPs to protect more customers without additional operational complexity.
Attackers are working increasingly faster and are deploying AI themselves to shorten the response time of defenders. According to the Arctic Wolf 2026 AI and Cybersecurity Trends Report, seventy percent of security leaders assume that an undetected threat has already led to a successful attack within their organization. MSPs must therefore act faster, but often encounter heavy MDR implementations involving hardware and lengthy tuning.
Faster implementation without sensors #
Aurora MDR Connect relies on the Aurora Agentic SOC, which completes investigations within seconds and validates every decision via the AI Trust Engine. MSPs can deploy the solution in customer environments within hours, as no network sensors need to be shipped, installed, or configured.
This differs significantly from the heavy MDR solutions that most MSPs still use today. These typically require hardware and extensive tuning, leading to long onboarding processes that delay implementation.
More complete visibility of the attack surface #
Until now, many MSP customers only received protection focused on endpoints, while attackers also take over accounts, compromise business email, spread ransomware, and steal data. Aurora MDR Connect collects telemetry from endpoints, networks, the cloud, identity systems, and SaaS applications, providing a more complete picture of the risks.
Ben Bitterman, VP of MSP Sales at Arctic Wolf, emphasizes that partners retain control over customer conversations, while Arctic Wolf provides the foundation for security operations. Customers can later seamlessly transition to the full Aurora MDR, maintaining their existing implementation and gaining extra options such as a dedicated security team or longer log file retention periods.
