A new report from [ Bloomberg](https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2026-07-28/new-apple-tv-4k-box-homepod-mini-and-siri-ai-smart-home-hub-are-coming?utm_medium=email&utm_source=author_alert&utm_term=260728&utm_campaign=author_19842959) today reveals that Apple has three new smart home devices that are “nearly ready to launch.” The first two are set to come in just a couple of months …\n\n## Apple’s three new smart home products coming soon\n\nAccording to the report, Apple is set to introduce a new Apple TV set-top box and an updated version of the HomePod mini as soon as this fall. These products “look like their current versions” but will feature faster chips inside to support Siri AI.\n\nFor context, the [current Apple TV 4K](https://apple.sjv.io/c/126147/1698449/7613?sharedid=chancemiller&subId1=chancemiller&subId2=JZRNHO&u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.apple.com%2Fapple-tv-4k%2F) is powered by the A15 Bionic chip. The [current HomePod mini](https://apple.sjv.io/c/126147/1698449/7613?sharedid=chancemiller&subId1=chancemiller&subId2=GL3JMX&u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.apple.com%2Fhomepod-mini%2F) features the S5 chip, which is the same processor as the Apple Watch Series 5.\n\nPerhaps more interestingly, Apple’s [highly-anticipated](https://9to5mac.com/2025/04/06/apple-smart-home-hub-delay-2026/) new smart home hub device is also “nearly ready to launch.” This product is currently slated to debut “between October and early next year,” according to the report.\n\nThere are two versions of this product in development. One of them “positions the screen on a half-dome-shaped base, and the other is designed to be “affixed to a wall using a new magnetic system.”\n\nToday’s story also reiterates the specs and features of this device. It will reportedly have a 7-inch square display and is built around Siri AI. It features an “entirely new operating system” that’s built on tvOS. The interface is described as being a “blend” of tvOS and watchOS, with apps, icons, and widgets.\n\nIt will also support FaceTime, home security monitoring, HomeKit integration, and customizable clock faces similar to the Apple Watch.\n\nThe standout feature, though, is expected to be facial recognition:\n\nThe hallmark feature is facial recognition, enabling the hub to identify who’s looking at the display, determine their distance and personalize the interface in real time. It can adjust the size and type of information for easier viewing while displaying that user’s calendar, notes and other personalized content based on who’s in front of the device.\n\nFinally, *Bloomberg* says there are two other smart home products in the works at Apple, set for later. This includes a “higher-end, robotic version of the home hub” with a 9-inch display as well as an “advanced in-home security camera.”\n\n**My favorite iPhone accessories:**\n\n[Anker Nano USB-C wall charger with built-in screen](https://amzn.to/4cNuxge)[AirPods Pro 3: Check the current sale price](https://amzn.to/4uUqAwW)[Charge all your Apple gear at the same time](https://amzn.to/4tKQtys)[Bring wireless CarPlay to any car](https://amzn.to/3QO4a14)[USB-C cable that shows how fast you’re charging](https://amzn.to/4tSEoHG)\n\n**Follow Chance**: [Threads](https://www.threads.net/@ChanceHMiller), [Bluesky](https://bsky.app/profile/chancemiller.me), [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/chancehmiller/), and [Mastodon](https://mastodon.social/@ChanceHMiller).\n\n*FTC: We use income earning auto affiliate links.* [More.](https://9to5mac.com/about/#affiliate)\n\n[our homepage](http://9to5mac.com/)for all the latest news, and follow 9to5Mac on\n\n[exclusive stories](https://9to5mac.com/feature/exclusive/),\n\n[reviews](https://9to5mac.com/guides/review/),\n\n[how-tos](https://9to5mac.com/guides/how-to/), and\n\n[subscribe to our YouTube channel](https://www.youtube.com/9to5mac)", "url": "https://wpnews.pro/news/apple-has-three-new-smart-home-products-nearly-ready-to-launch-per-report", "canonical_source": "https://9to5mac.com/2026/07/28/apple-has-three-new-smart-home-products-nearly-ready-to-launch-per-report/", "published_at": "2026-07-28 13:46:59+00:00", "updated_at": "2026-07-28 13:58:50.033392+00:00", "lang": "en", "topics": ["ai-products", "ai-infrastructure", "computer-vision"], "entities": ["Apple", "Bloomberg", "Apple TV 4K", "HomePod mini", "Siri", "tvOS", "watchOS", "HomeKit"], "alternates": {"html": "https://wpnews.pro/news/apple-has-three-new-smart-home-products-nearly-ready-to-launch-per-report", "markdown": "https://wpnews.pro/news/apple-has-three-new-smart-home-products-nearly-ready-to-launch-per-report.md", "text": "https://wpnews.pro/news/apple-has-three-new-smart-home-products-nearly-ready-to-launch-per-report.txt", "jsonld": "https://wpnews.pro/news/apple-has-three-new-smart-home-products-nearly-ready-to-launch-per-report.jsonld"}}
