According to Gurman, Apple will unveil the device at next year's Worldwide Developers Conference, a nominally software-focused event Apple holds every June. Presumably, the glasses would then be available for purchase sometime before the end of 2027.\n\nIt's still unclear exactly what form Apple's glasses would take. [Meta](https://mashable.com/tech/meta-glasses-new-designs-hands-on) and[ Samsung](https://mashable.com/tech/samsung-galaxy-unpacked-galaxy-glasses-revealed), among others, have created a template in recent years for glasses that include cameras for photography and video, and for showing the world to an onboard AI assistant, but that obviously comes with plenty of [privacy concerns](https://mashable.com/life/meta-smart-glasses-kylie-privacy).
