Anthropic's new Mythos and Fable models come with a new enterprise data retention policy

Anthropic unveiled Claude Fable 5.1 on Tuesday with a new Enterprise Frontier Safeguards policy that lets enterprise customers store monitoring data in their own cloud instances under their own retention policies, addressing concerns from regulated industries about the data retention requirements introduced with Claude Fable 5. The policy, developed with input from the Analysis and Resilience Center for Systemic Risk and other regulated companies, still requires data storage for safety monitoring but grants customers more control, similar to a policy OpenAI introduced last month.
