Copyright lawsuits aimed at AI firms are nothing new, with seemingly countless publishers currently locking horns with companies like [OpenAI](https://au.pcmag.com/ai/103217/the-new-york-times-sues-openai-and-microsoft-for-copyright-infringement) and Anthropic.

So far, Claude-maker Anthropic is the AI giant that has been hit the hardest in terms of real-world payouts. In September 2025, Anthropic
