A $65 billion funding round, a confidential IPO filing, and a $965 billion valuation are turning Anthropic into the most consequential company most retail investors can't directly buy yet.
Anthropic just raised $65 billion in a single funding round. The Claude AI maker’s Series H, completed on May 28, closed at a post-money valuation of $965 billion, making it the most valuable AI startup on the planet, leapfrogging OpenAI in the process.
Around June 1, Anthropic filed a confidential S-1 registration statement with the SEC. If the IPO moves forward later this year, it could rank among the largest in US financial history. The company’s valuation trajectory tells the story: Anthropic was worth roughly $60 billion in early 2025. By mid-2026, that number has ballooned to nearly $1 trillion.
The Series H round was led by Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks, and Sequoia Capital. Strategic investors Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and Nvidia all participated.
Which stocks give you Anthropic exposure #
Amazon (AMZN) has poured billions into Anthropic across multiple rounds and integrated Claude into its AWS cloud infrastructure.
Alphabet (GOOGL) has its own substantial stake in Anthropic while simultaneously developing its own Gemini models.
Microsoft (MSFT) is OpenAI’s primary backer but has also invested in Anthropic.
Nvidia (NVDA) rounds out the group. Every dollar Anthropic spends scaling Claude likely flows through Nvidia’s GPU supply chain.
Export restrictions are pushing investors toward decentralized AI #
In mid-June 2026, the US government announced export restrictions on Anthropic’s models. Bittensor (TAO), the most prominent decentralized AI network token, posted double-digit gains following the export restriction announcement.
Tokenized Anthropic equity products have appeared on Solana, implying valuations exceeding $1 trillion. Unauthorized tokenized equity creates obvious legal and valuation risks, and the price discovery on these products should be treated with extreme skepticism.
Anthropic’s Model Context Protocol (MCP) enables secure interactions between AI models and blockchain networks, with integrations already live on Base, Sei, Arbitrum, and TRON.
What this means for investors #
Amazon offers the most concentrated Anthropic exposure among public stocks. If the IPO happens at or above the $965 billion valuation, Amazon’s stake alone could be worth a meaningful chunk of its market cap.
The tokenized equity products on Solana deserve the most caution. Trading synthetic Anthropic shares on a blockchain without the company’s authorization is the kind of financial innovation that tends to attract SEC attention.
