Americans Want AI Controlled Before It Reshapes The Economy

A new survey by Forbes and market research firm OnePoll finds that 78% of Americans believe artificial intelligence should be regulated before it significantly reshapes the economy, with 62% expressing concern that AI will eliminate more jobs than it creates. The poll of 2,000 U.S. adults, conducted in January 2025, also shows that 71% support a national AI regulatory framework similar to those in the European Union.
