Su said that AMD is seeing a step function increase in demand as AI acceleration moves from training and inference to agentic AI. Helios — which consists of central processing unit computing, graphics processing units, networking and more — is the best AI platform in the world.
Nvidia revealed performance specs for Vera Rubin this week, and AMD said that Helios can deliver 15% better AI compute FP4, 50% better HBM capacity at 31TB, 50% better scale-out bandwidth, 15% better AI compute FP8, 6% better HBM bandwidth, the same scale-up bandwidth compared to Nvidia’s Vera Rubin.
AMD made an announcement at its event at the Moscone convention center in San Francisco. Thousands of people showed up for the keynote.
Tom Brown, CTO of Anthropic, came out on stage and said, “Helios is just an amazing platform.”
“It’s a tide that lifts all boats,” Su said.
