Our top Prime Day gaming PC deals
Prime Day is on a roll, and there are some cracking deals this year, especially on prebuilt PCs. Skytech gaming PCs are always a good way to go if you’re looking for punchy performance, solid build quality, and eye-catching designs, and its Rampage lineup is a great example of these. This Skytech Rampage gaming PC has finally dropped in price for the first time since late March this year for Prime Day, and at $2,136.99, it makes a lot of sense from a price-to-performance perspective.

First up, you’ve got an RTX 5070 Ti 16GB graphics card, which is one of the best options you can get for QHD gaming, with decent 4K capabilities. Of course, you’ve got the latest GDDR7 VRAM, 4th-gen ray tracing cores, and 5th-gen tensor cores courtesy of Nvidia’s new Blackwell architecture, too. On the CPU side, this PC features a Ryzen 7 9700X processor, which is an excellent option for gaming and offers solid multitasking performance, thanks to its relatively large L3 cache, high boost clock speed, and decent core and thread count.
You’ve also got a hefty amount of DDR5 RAM in this build, coming in at 32GB, which is going to boost performance across the board, and there’s a powerful, high-spec AIO cooler to help keep everything running at its best, even under heavy and sustained loads. Overall, this PC is a very good pick if you’re looking for something excellent for gaming, not quite as pricey as if you were to go for a Ryzen 7 9800X3D model, and still on the AM5 platform. Read on for a closer look at what we like about this PC, pricing history, some things to consider, and more of our top Prime Day gaming PC deals.

What we like about this Skytech Rampage gaming PC
Its graphics card is a very strong pick for most people
If you’re after exceptional QHD gaming performance, then the RTX 5070 Ti makes a lot of sense over the RTX 5080, especially since prebuilds are usually closer to $2,000, and RTX 5080 PCs tend to start around $2,500, and even then, they usually pack lower-end Intel Core Ultra processors. With Blackwell features like MFG, you can use the RTX 5070 Ti for 4K gaming, and it’ll be more than playable, and even in its raw state, it still delivers entry-level 4K performance, too.
The Ryzen 7 9700X is a great bang-for-your-buck gaming processor
This CPU is excellent value considering it has a 32MB L3 cache, 5.5GHz boost clock speed, 8 cores, and 16 threads, and is AM5, which gives you a clearer runway for upgrades in the future. It’s often the case that the RTX 5070 Ti is paired with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, which offers superior performance, but does drive the price closer to the $2,500 mark in my experience. Considering the 9700X is still a very capable CPU for high fps, low latency gaming, I’d say you’re still getting excellent performance while saving some cash.

32GB of DDR5 RAM ensure super smooth gaming performance
While 16GB of DDR5 is great for most, 32GB is now becoming the sweet spot if you want to handle more asset-heavy AAA games without running into much micro-stuttering, and want to ensure you’re covered for bigger game releases in the future.
Smaller storage keeps initial costs down
You’ve got 1TB of storage here, which is fine for a handful of games, and gives you a chance to see what you can do with space management, rather than shelling out extra right off the bat for a larger SSD.
Impressive aRGB lighting system
This PC’s aRGB lighting can be controlled through an app, and there’s a lot you can do with it. You can, for example, sync it with your audio source and even create custom special effects when you launch certain games.

Things to consider
I’d say this is a very good PC for the price, so there’s not a whole lot to consider aside from its relatively low core count, which lends itself better to gaming than it does heavy content creation, for example. A decent alternative would be something like an Intel Core Ultra 7 265K build, which is going to give you more future-proofing, akin to being on AMD’s AM5 platform. The trade-off is that it won’t be as good for gaming, but it will smash productivity and creative tasks with ease.
